LANG Lang might seem a long way from Sweden, but the towns primary school has forged close ties with the Scandinavian country.

The schools program with a Swedish university was one of several initiatives highlighted during a recent visit by leaders of several regional education centres.

A team of principals, assistant principals and leading teachers met at Lang Lang last week as part of a regional bid to build leadership in schools.

Lang Lang assistant principal Michael Smythe said the visit was a great success.

Visitors included Pakenham Consolidated School principal Leonie Campbell, Anne Martin of Berwick Secondary College, Tina Clydesdale of Killberry Valley, Kathy Weston of Marnebek, Brian McFall of Timbarra and John Lyall of Eumemmerring.
