Effexor Withdrawl - Depression Medications - The Depression - Story - Medicals

I've recently been weaned off Effexor XR and it has not been too great. Below is a list of what I have been experiencing for almost 2 weeks:

Lack of balance
Spacey
Lack of concentration
BlurredVision problems VisionBlindness
Color vision test
Lasik eye surgery
Normal vision
Photophobia
Refraction test
Scar revision
Vision - night blindness
Vision problems
Visual acuity test
Auditory Hallucinations
Jittery
SweatingSweating
Sweating - absent
Nightmares and/or vivid dreams
ItchingCauses of vaginal itching
Eye burning - itching and discharge
Itching
Jock itch
Muscle twitching
Vaginal itching everywhere while resting or sleepingSleeping difficulty

I will not go backBack pain - low
Back strain treatment on and start over again. I'm done trying other brands, other types, old ones and new ones. Meds don't work for me and this is the only one that I have ever experienced such hell coming off of. I have found other avenues to treat my despression: talk therapy %26 exerciseAerobic exercise

QUESTION: HOW LONG DO THE SYMPTOMS TYPICALLY LAST (ON AVERAGE?)

persevere and know that there is someone out there joining you. I have had most of those symptoms while on the meds. I even borrowed a walker from a friend because of balance. I came off Zoloft a few years ago and the buzzing in the headHead and face reconstruction

Radial head injury was very uncomfortable. My doctor told me it takes a long time to come off antidepressants. Nobody ever talks about this do they????? Good luck and keep me posted.

I am also being weaned off Effexor %26 boy can i relate to you right now!! I also, am suffering terribly. I have been on different meds through the years %26 can honestly say that i have never had more suffering that with Effexor. (Both while on it %26 weaning off of it.) NEVER again will i be on this drugChemical dependence - resources

Since being weaned off, it has been about 3 weeks now of terrible withdrawalDelirium tremens symptoms, although they are finally diminishing slightly. I think the duration of the symptoms would be based on how your Dr. is decreasing your dosage %26 what dose you are on now. For me, i have not been able to function, cannot work %26 only leave the house if i have to. As i said, the suffering is finally diminishing, so have hope....it will get better!!
